WAYS TO HONOR YOURSELF AND THE SPACE

yOUR JOURNEY BEGINS

  • Bring your own yoga mat to class if you have one.

If you don’t have your own mat yet, no worries — we have mats available to rent for $2, each provided with a fresh sanitary wipe.

We do, however, encourage you to find a mat that’s uniquely yours — one that supports your personal practice and energy. You’ll find a selection of high-quality yoga mats available in the studio to explore when you’re ready to invest in your own sacred space of practice

  • Let your teacher know if you have an injury or other condition that might limit your participation before class.

Once you’ve shared any injuries or limitations, your teacher can gently guide you toward modifications that honor your body’s needs and help you stay safe in your practice.

This is your practice. Listen deeply to your own body’s wisdom. Move in a way that feels nourishing, never forceful. Your inner guidance is the true teacher, and we’re simply here to support you in that connection.

  • Plan ahead so that you can arrive to class a little early and stay until the class ends.

All of our classes are set to stat and end on time to be respectful of our students & guests time. So, to get the most out of each class make sure you’re there for the whole thing. Arriving a little early also gives you an opportunity to get the most out of your practice by doing a few stretches or by just sitting quietly. If you must leave early, please do so as quietly as possible!

  • Wear comfortable clothing to class.

Choose something that doesn’t restrict your movement but that isn’t so loose-fitting that it will get in your way. Yoga is practiced barefoot. Wearing socks is not recommended, but you may leave your socks on if you wish. Changing in the restroom or the Reiki room is available

  • Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.

Arrive a few minutes early to settle in, ground your energy, and prepare for practice.

We create a sacred space that begins the moment you step into the studio — arriving on time allows you to fully receive the opening, the intention, and the flow of the class without feeling rushed.

Give yourself the gift of those quiet moments before we begin — they’re often the most powerful part of your practice.

  • Don't eat a big meal before class.

Give your body a chance to digest before doing yoga. A light meal or snack is fine, but try to allow at least an hour or 2 between eating and practicing.

  • Feel free to ask questions.

Feel free to ask questions — your curiosity is part of growth.

We encourage open conversation and we love when students seek deeper understanding. Whether it’s about a posture, breathwork, or how something feels in your body, your questions are welcome here. This is your practice, and we’re here to explore it together.
